The Obsessed Are as Sharp as Ever on ‘Razor Wire’

The Obsessed haven't put out a full-length since 1994's The Church Within. But today, the doom overlords have risen again, announcing their new album, Sacred, set to come out on Relapse April 7. Today you can hear the new single, "Razor Wire," chock full of all the heaviness you've been missing. Singer / guitarist Scott "Wino" Weinrich (Saint Vitus) sounds charged up, his voice still carrying the fire and heat after all this time. The grooves are as catchy as ever, wrapping around an extremely hefty riff. It's going to be a hell of a year for sludge, with the Obsessed unafraid to reintroduce themselves amidst all the young bands.
