PC Worship's m.o. is experimentalism — always a little out there, always defying expectations and always interesting. Their latest single, from the forthcoming Buried Wish, is a new slacker anthem that tips its hat to Royal Trux and Pavement while staying unconventional. The basis of "River Running Sideways" is a clean guitar riff doubled on acoustic while a driving and simple rhythm follows, odd riffing and bends underneath it all, keeping things off-kilter. It's slinky, sexy, fun and drugged-out Americana — a soundtrack to a convertible jalopy opening up the engine on a desert open road. Stream it below.
