Oxbow Are Still Good at Making ‘Other People’ Uncomfortable

Oxbow are a constantly evolving musical presence, always striving to push themselves to new places. Today, they dropped a video for "Other People," a cut off their upcoming Hydra Head record, Thin Black Duke. Frontman Eugene S. Robinson is able to turn on a dime, his calming and atmospheric voice giving way to something far more crazed. Guitars beguile in the same way, the song beginning with an almost shoegaze-y feeling before totally going off the rails. It's a killer example of what the band is capable of, tricking you with beauty one moment, utterly crushing you the next.
