Krypts’ ‘Remnants’ Warp You Into the Doomed Void

Sometimes the best approach to songwriting is to take things as slow as possible. This is especially true in metal, where the pace of a band can dictate the intensity. Finnish death metal four-piece Krypts have taken this to heart, experimenting with song lengths and speeds on their newest anvil of a record, Remnants of Expansion (Dark Descent). It opens with its longest song, "Arrow of Entropy," a total riff fest that'll make you feel like you're slowly floating through the empty voids of space. It's thick and devoid of hope, sucking you in with insane riffs and suffocating atmosphere.
