In a pretty short amount of time, Chicago-based Whitney have made a considerable impression in the world of indie. Last year's Secretly Canadian debut, Light Upon the Lake, understandably drew the attention of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, and yesterday the band laid down their single "Golden Days," with drummer / singer Julien Ehrlich sitting front and center. If you've never seen Whitney, it might come as a surprise to see how big the band is, six other members flanking Ehrlich, playing guitars, keyboards and trumpet.
