There’s ‘No Relief’ From Trapped Under Ice’s Latest Onslaught

In our recent feature, Trapped Under Ice frontman Justice Tripp talked about the goals for the band's new LP, Heatwave:

Initially, we were trying to do something that people weren't doing at the time­. It's hardcore, it's punk, it's a variation of other things that are happening ... Don't get me wrong — it's definitely a Trapped Under Ice thing. I think it's a hard-ass record. There's nothing wrong with loving ignorant music — put your own twist on it.

"No Relief" is the latest single from that uber-interesting and genre-bending new LP, due in July. If leadoff single "Do It" showed hints of Turnstile, then the punk anthem that is "No Relief" flies closer to the TUI of old, except at twice the speed. Check it out above, and look for them on tour in August.
