Six Organs of Admittance Cross the ‘Threshold of Light’

Avant garde guitarist Ben Chasny recently announced Burning the Threshold, his latest full-length as Six Organs of Admittance. After sharing the LP's epic seven-minute first single, "Taken by Ascent," Chasny has dropped off another Hexadic II follow-up cuts, a shadowboxing track titled "Threshold of Light." According to a press release, the haunting song doubles as a "spectral mediation on ancient myths and alchemy"; it may not turn lead to gold, but between the ethereal harmonies and Chasny's perennially haunting folk guitar riffs, it does conjure up one hell of a soundscape.
