‘My Target’ Is Another Slam Dunk for Malice at the Palace

Malice at the Palace are a hardcore band out of Pensacola, Fla., that has been working at a breakneck speed since exploding onto the scene. This spring, they're teaming up with another up-and-coming hardcore outfit, Philadelphia's Jesus Piece, for a vicious split 7". Today, you can hear "My Target," one of Malice's cuts from the EP. The band immediately sucks you into their madness, guitars revving hard while higher-register yells balance out the assault. Things kick into a high-speed hurricane of sound before a thunderstorm of a breakdown that takes twists and turns you might not expect. It's a killer song that pushes the edges of hardcore's framework, while still making you want to throw people through tables.
