Hear Lemuria’s ‘Get Better’ Outtake, ‘Race the Germ’

Lemuria have been writing invigorating and energetic punk rock since 2004. In 2008, they dropped their debut full-length, Get Better, a mission statement combining all of the work they put into their prior EPs and split appearances into a super fun, enthralling record. The band is planning to rerelease the LP with new artwork, an essay reflecting on the record's present-day resonance within the band and a bonus 7" with outtakes. Today, they're premiering the previously unreleased "Race the Germ," a pummeling track left off of the final album. It still fits in pretty perfectly with any Lemuria set, singer Sheena Ozella providing a sweet counterbalance to the speedy riffs with lyrics that strike you right at the heart: "You can build a house, but it will never feel like home."
