Jay Som Won’t ‘Turn the Other Cheek’ When It Comes to Trump

As part of the Our First 100 Days compilation, many artists have joined up to release some pretty stellar tracks in protest of Donald Trump's presidency. Today's addition to the group is Oakland's Jay Som and her track "Turn the Other Cheek." The song is ever-expanding, first beginning as a quirky piano / guitar composition. As it progresses, more and more instruments enter the fold, creating several rising actions before everything sighs back into delicate quietude. It all leads into a final stand, a triumphant and joyful outro proving once again that Jay Som is a songwriting force to be reckoned with.
