There's a beautiful, dark undercurrent of sadness to Jay Som's new track, "Ghost." Propelled by acoustic guitars, the song is elevated by slide guitars and the breathy vocals of Melina Duterte, who makes the term "acoustic singer-songwriter" less cringeworthy than a badge of honor. The video captures many emotions, depicting a distraught and melancholic woman ripping up pictures on her bed, only to eventually become self-aware and compile the shreds into a collage. Check it out below, and catch Jay Som on tour.

Turn Into, which features "Ghost," is out on November 18. Order yours via Polyvinyl.
