Hollow Everdaze Can Psych You Out With More Than ‘Cartoons’

Aussie psych crew Hollow Everdaze take pleasure in both pop and art. They're set to release their new record, Cartoons, on June 23 via Deaf Ambitions, and today you can see their new video for the title track. The clip is directed by Alex McLaren, who nails the vibe of the band using a variety of media collages. 2D images fly by, prefacing all sorts of weirdness. The song floats along on a cloud, offering dreamy guitar licks that sound like they came out of an alternate '70s reality. There are hints of darkness lurking around the corner, but they never get in the way of the song's cool, weirdo vibe, much less its flurry of hooks.
