One Small Step for Ecstatic Vision Is One ‘Electric Step’ for Mankind

Get ready, cosmonauts: Philadelphia heavy-psych crew Ecstatic Vision are set to unleash their Raw Rock Fury on the world exactly one month from now, courtesy of the fine folks at Relapse. With four songs clocking in at 35 minutes, their sophomore effort transforms the band's kraut-y stream of consciousness into a brain-melting torrent, propelled by some of their filthiest jams to date. If you thought the previously shared track "You Got It (Or You Don't)" was wild, wait until you hear "Electric Step," the album's new single. It begins with a minute of unsettling, chattery din and quickly progresses into a monolithic garage-blues banger in the vein of MC5 — only much, much bigger.
