Drab Majesty Haunts ’39 by Design’

Drab Majesty is no stranger to the strange. A couple of months ago, Deb Demure put out "Cold Souls," the first single for next year's The Demonstration. It's a post-punk jam that seemed to move the musician to new dimensions. Recently, Demure put out a new video for "39 by Design," a song that advances upon a longstanding interest in synthwave. The video is smeared with a thick, filmy '80s texture, images of Drab repeating, lights and reflections a surreal constant. It ends with a strange tribute to all the followers of Heaven's Gate, telling them to "Enjoy the Next Level." Watch below.
