Chasms Make Brilliant, Gazey Music ‘We’ll Go’ for Anytime
Chasms is a band out of San Francisco that casts spells of droney, silky shoegaze. The duo is just about ready to release their third LP, On the Legs of Love Purified. Each new record shows them getting better and better, finely tuning what they can summon with tones and atmosphere. Today, Chasms are premiering "We'll Go" from the new record. The slow burn of a song takes an iterative approach to their usual shoegaze and dream-pop tendencies; it feels like stepping into an endless pool of sound and energy. Vocals reverberate throughout in a spectral fashion, guitars exhaling huge waves of sound. You'll feel surrounded by the music, up to your eyes in beauty. Chasms prove that there's still more to be done in this genre, and they're more than capable of being its front-runners.
