For the past year, Anohni has been releasing powerful, minimalistic videos for tracks off of Hopelessness. Each video has shown a different person singing one of the songs, meaning taking hold in a different way through each individual. Today, she's released a new video for album cut "Marrow." The performer in the video is New York performance artist Lorraine O'Grady, who has been working in conceptual, highly feminist art since the 1980s. Anohni's words take on another life through the use of O'Grady as the center of the video, the conceit of America as a cancerous woman's slowly deteriorating body being particularly effective.
