Wild Beasts Show Respect for the ‘Alpha Female’

Wild Beasts have been making some pretty danceable indie rock for the past 15 years. Last year, the band put out Boy King, an album that featured more distorted synths than their previous work, not to mention a conceptual overture touching on ideas of masculinity. Today, the band released a video for one of its cuts, "Alpha Female." The video features shots of various women in Bangalore skateboarding around, not paying attention to the looks of those around them. You can see them skitch onto different trucks, ride together as one, generally not give a fuck. It's a great visual companion to the track, something loud and fearless, in a place you wouldn't expect.
