Pallbearer Present a Bouquet of ‘Thorns’

Pallbearer are preparing to drop what will probably be one of the year's best metal albums in Heartless, due in late March on Nuclear Blast. Today, they released one of the album's singles, "Thorns." The band has always been heavy, but this might have more of a crunch than any previous release. Guitars are massively metallic, chugging through the song's opening stretch before methodically adding more elements of harmony to the foundation. The heaviness slowly gives way to the vocals, offering an almost spectral beauty and intensity. It's a wonder of a track, further expanding the limits of doom metal.
