For the unfamiliar, you can thank Al Montfort for some of your favorite bands of the past few years. The Melbourne native is responsible for many of the sounds washing up on the shores of the U.S., including Total Control, the UV Race, Straightjacket Nation, Dick Diver, Terry and many others. Montfort's latest release arrives in the form of Lower Plenty, a jangly, slacker-y indie-pop project readying their new LP, Sister Sister, for Bedroom Suck on November 18.

The first single for Sister Sister is also the album opener, "Bondi's Dead," a breezy jangle-pop beauty that clocks in at three perfect minutes and makes you want to go back immediately. It's ideal for a picnic in the park in the fall, with the sun on your face and a cool breeze threatening winter chill. Check it out below.

Look for Lower Plenty to hit the road in the U.S. in the near future.
