Ocean City, Md., crew Full of Hell have earned their rep as one of grindcore's most thought-provoking bands due to their willingness to experiment. Their next album, Trumpeting Ecstasy, is indicative of this, and you can get a feeling for what we're talking about via the video for the title track. It notably features the prowess of pop-goth vocalist Nicole Dollanganger, whose performance straddles the line between beautiful and unnerving. She opens over a thick layer of noise and drone before ultra-distorted guitars propel the proceedings even further into the depths of depravity. The clip exemplifies the potential for this record to be the band's most defining work to date. Considering this level of experimentation, it's not hard to see why.
