Back in October, Emily Reo put out a 10" via Orchid Tapes consisting of a pair of new songs, “Spell” and “Stronger Swimmer." Today, she's shared a music video for the A-side. Directed by Brian Vu, the faded, outdoorsy clip finds Reo wandering through the woods, engaging in some vaguely pagan antics as she goes: spinning crystal balls, shaking glitter dust off her hands, dancing in a clearing, the whole lot. In addition to providing an organic contrast to the track's hard-wired mainframe (epitomized by the musician's heavy use of vocoder), the video doubles as a G-rated alternative to The Blair Witch Project (unless you count the close-up shots of a busted-lipped Reo, which push it up to PG).

Speaking to NPR about the new video, Reo says, "We tried to create a visual representation of the many ways you can become trapped by your own mind, and how it can veil you, distance you, overwhelm you or just keep you from feeling anything at all.” Watch below, and scroll down for her upcoming tour dates.
