Dirty Projectors have continued to test the limits of what indie rock can do, mixing the organic with noise and unpredictable song arrangements. They're not interested in slowing down, as today the band has announced that they're releasing a self-titled album, their first since 2012's Swing Lo Magellan. They introduce the album well with the track "Up in Hudson," a seven-minute suite that incorporates a whole range of different movements. Vocals blend in with other instrumentation, every sound contributing to the mix with equal weight. It's a nice look into what the rest of the self-titled will bring.

Pre-order the album, out February 24 on Domino.
