Ty Segall Moves Out of the Garage on Self-Titled Album
Ty Segall makes a whole lot of shit look extremely easy. Today, his new self-titled Drag City album is streaming. We've already heard the heaviness of "Break a Guitar," but the variety on hand expands to the likes of "Warm Hands (Freedom Returned)," a blistering 10-minute track that sounds like a blazed Black Sabbath at points. The intensity fluctuates, showing how crazy Segall can get if left to his own devices. It's a weighty record that pushes well beyond what one might consider garage rock.
