The xx ‘Say Something Loving’ on Fallon

Last week, the xx released their incredibly varied I See You, a record that combined a plethora of sounds and moods to form one of the group's most accomplished releases to date. The band is set to embark on a huge tour (hitting venues like the 14,000-cap Forest Hills Stadium), and you can get a taste of what it'll be like from their recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Their setup for the show is nearly identical to their SNL appearance, which is not a bad thing. On "Lips," you can hear the smooth beats of Jamie xx underscoring quick taps of the guitar from Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft. "Say Something Loving" ascends upwards, the heavenly sounds augmented by some great guitar work and backing beats.
