MADEIRA features former Yumi Zouma vocalist Kim Pflaum, whose airy vocals helped propel that band's early work into the stratosphere. Her new EP, Bad Humors, exhibits a lot of the same qualities as her former home — vaguely dance-oriented synth-pop is the central focus, and Pflaum's vocals push the songwriting to its beautiful extreme. You can't help but compare MADEIRA to Yumi Zouma at the end of the day; both craft beautiful pop with breathy female vocals propelled by synths. You should hear this.
