Crystal Fairy = Melvins + At the Drive-In + Le Butcherettes

If there's one thing that you can count on from the duo of Dale Crover and Buzz Osborne, it's to expect the unexpected. Melvins have teamed with Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (Mars Volta, At the Drive-In, etc.) and Terri Gender Bender of Le Butcherettes to form Crystal Fairy, a new band readying their debut LP for February 2017 on Ipecac. The announcement came with the release of "Drugs on the Bus," streaming below and the subject of a limited edition 7” (b/w “Necklace of Divorce”) due October 10 via Amphetamine Reptile. Stream that track below, which feels very much in the Melvins pocket, but with some synth touches and TGB's alternately enchanting and menacing delivery.
