On ‘Meta,’ Car Bomb Get More Caustic and Complex

This Friday, experimental metal quartet Car Bomb will release Meta, their-follow up to 2012's w^w^^w^w. Aside from an easier-to-pronounce title, the album features co-production from Gojira's Joe Duplantier (working alongside Car Bomb guitarist Greg Kubacki), with a blistering, high-definition mix courtesy of Josh Wilbur (Megadeth, Lamb of God). At some points, the grooves skew mathematical and precise; elsewhere, the four-piece nods to the sinister hardcore of peers like the Dillinger Escape Plan (with whom they'll soon tour).
