Denton, Texas power-pop greats the Marked Men have always been underdogs, delivering four LPs that would become underground classics during their time on Earth (the members have moved on to play in Mind Spiders, Radioactivity, Low Culture and more). And while reunions tend to lend themselves to skepticism, the Marked Men's music is of the classic sort, inspiring devotion and die-hard fans that would travel the U.S. to hear these songs live just one more time. Last night's NYC gig at Saint Vitus was one of two for the band, and featured support from Jersey punk faves Night Birds and NYC proto-punk upstarts Honey. Photos from the gig, courtesy of Angela Owens, are below. Head to Facebook for the full set.

The Marked Men play NYC again tonight (April 7) with Hank Wood and the Hammerheads, Vanity and Dark Thoughts at a sold-out Brooklyn Bazaar. Both gigs are presented and produced by CLRVYNT.
