Earlier this month, California alt-country outfit Valley Queen made their mark on indie with Destroyer, their debut EP. Ahead of their tour with Laura Marling next week, the quartet has unveiled a video for "Stars Align," one of their standout tracks. Originally proposed as a standard performance video (a "lip-sync video," to borrow the band's words), Nick Flessa's clip was restructured at the band's urging, evolving into what we're seeing today: a fly-on-the-wall look at Valley Queen's private life on and off the road, as chronicled by late-night walks, seemingly endless roads and the occasional sage-burning ceremony.

"This video captures, more realistically, what the past year has been for us," they explain via email. "Lots of time on the road, away from our families, working on our relationships in and outside the band." It's a feeling you can't put into words — written, spoken, or lip-synced. Watch the "Stars Align" video below, and scroll down for a full list of dates.
