The music of Japan's MONO is slow-building fire that burns brightly toward an eventual forest-engulfing inferno. Drama is their strongest suit, juxtaposing the quiet with the confrontational and always producing the emotional. The subject of their latest video, "Requiem for Hell" (the title track off their recently released ninth album) is not that much different, except said fire goes from matchbook to uncontainable chaos at the drop of a dime.
