Father John Misty Sings ‘Ballad of the Dying Man’ on Colbert

Father John Misty has a new record coming out this Friday, Pure Comedy. It's sure to be filled with all the of the social commentary Josh Tillman is known for; and musically, it's shaping up to be his most advanced record yet. To give a snippet of what he's got in store, he appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night to perform his new single, "Ballad of the Dying Man." Tillman was joined by a full backing band and chorus, which helped the song's hook shine. He even flubbed a little, giggling at the 2:55 mark. That's live TV for you, eh?
