Colleen Green Wants You to Read ‘Between the Lines’

Last year, indie-popper Colleen Green put out a self-titled EP that flew under too many people's radars. It was a great follow-up to her 2015 full-length, I Want to Grow Up, sculpting her power-pop into a neat, punchy package. Today she's released a new video for "Between the Lines," one of the tracks off said 2016 EP. It shows that she can mix gravity with humor — shots of Green looking legitimately bummed are intercut with sequences of her dumping out jars of jam and her friend making really terrible basketball shots. The imagery intertwines perfectly with the music, touching on the occasional bummer theme, but still keeping its head above water.
