Jim and the French Vanilla is the loud and punky solo project of Blind Shake's Jim Blaha. He's set to release a third record under the moniker, Afraid of the House. The record marks the first time the project has made a jump from one-man acoustic tracks to a full band affair, showcasing Blaha's natural songwriting ability on electric instruments. Today, he's premiering the track "I'm Just Sitting Here," a song that's both poppy and hard, his playing fast and precise. It's a quick two-minute track that you're probably going to find yourself playing on repeat. The barrage of simple riffing and drowned-out vocals is an exciting and fun mix.

Hear the jam below, and look out for the song on Dirtnap.
