This past Fourth of July, while you all were grilling up hot dogs and shooting off fireworks, a cruel band was a'brewin'. Say hello to RMBLR (pronounced "Rambler"), a filthy punk quartet that takes the blues with the bruising. Before forming RMBLR last summer, the foursome, whose members hail from Baltimore and Atlanta, called themselves "Filthy Few," doing dirt with Atlanta proto-punks Dinos Boys. Since then, they've branched out on their own with a few assorted tracks, full of riffs and devoid of pretense. To quote last October's single "Cannibals," ahem ... "CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS CANNIBALS."

It was only a matter of time before labels took notice, and now Fat Possum is gearing up to release the band's debut EP later this month. Its cover art acts as a sinister introduction — a graffiti artist festooning a wall with the message, "You are now entering RMBLR territory." Judging from new single "Miracle," their domain is a veritable, booze-soaked punk paradise, with guitars that bite, snares that sting and melodies that creep into the brain like a vicious, sneaky parasite. It premieres right here, right now. Listen below.

RMBLR's self-titled 7" hits shelves February 17 via Fat Possum. Pre-order it here.
