The term "post-punk" is overblown and, frankly, pretty useless as an identifier at this point. You have punk influences? Cool! Anything else besides that? Cool! Post-punk it is.

Brooklyn's Wall deserve that title, calling on influences that range from No Wave to Wire, Mission of Burma, Devo, early B-52's and the Fall in their output. Their latest self-titled Wharf Cat EP hit this summer, and includes the jerky, discordant and incredible track "Last Date," the subject of their latest video below.
