Featuring ZZ Ramirez (the Ukiah Drag, Destruction Unit), Sean Halpin (CRAOW) and artist Nina Hartmann, Tropical Skin Byrds is a new project that mines psychedelia and punk rock across five new tracks. The first track to be released, "Cut It Off," cites early SST as an influence (some of the riffs in the chorus definitely reflect that), but clearly also draws from the hazy space that ZZ occupied in Ukiah. It's angry and trippy, and available on 7" in the new year. Order yours at Bandcamp.
