This Will Destroy You never planned on making it big. Before they were a beloved post-rock outfit, the Texas band was just four college buddies with a penchant for jam sessions, playing local shows when they could. These gigs provided the marketplace for the band's inaugural release, 2006's demo-cum-EP Young Mountain. To This Will Destroy You's surprise, the low-stakes effort was a huge success, garnering the attention of critics and fans alike. The band has been active ever since.

Ten years after its initial arrival, Young Mountain is getting a commemorative reissue via Magic Bullet. The reissue edition features the six-track release, plus the previously-unheard track "Sleep." To further mark the occasion, This Will Destroy You are set to hit the road this month for a brief trek that will feature cover-to-cover performances of both Young Mountain and the band's 2008 self-titled debut. Stream the reissue in full below, and scroll down for the band's upcoming tour dates.

“I hadn’t heard Young Mountain or This Will Destroy You in years,” guitarist Jeremy Galindo reflects in a press release. “After listening through again, I felt oddly connected to it in a way that I wasn’t expecting. It reminded me of the beginning, before we had any clue we would achieve all we have in the past decade. It wasn’t nostalgia that I was feeling … more like listening to the albums for the first time. I really enjoyed that experience and am excited to perform these two albums that got us to where we are today.”

Young Mountain will be reissued on CD and digitally on November 4, and on vinyl (featuring copper metallic inks and a UV gloss flood) on November 18 via Magic Bullet Records. Pre-order on CD here; for vinyl, check here.
