It was the first weekend in 2017, and already the punks were out in droves to down tons of beer, pack out warehouses and generally rage to some of the best bands in North America and beyond. The occasion was This Is Austin Not That Great, an Austin-based festival that took place from January 6-8 (with a pre-show on January 5), and went heavy on the Texas punk scene, but also attracted bands from across the States to make up a four-day festival. Featuring bands as varied as Hank Wood & the Hammerheads, Green Beret, VAASKA, Impalers, Krimewatch, Haram, Nosferatu, Blood Pressure and more, check out a selection of photos from the weekend by Angela Owens below.
