The Feelies Still Haven’t ‘Been Replaced’

The Feelies have been influencing independent rock music since 1976. Albums like Crazy Rhythms still sound aggressively contemporary, reaching a level of songwriting most bands only dream of. Expanding on their legacy, they've just put out a new track, "Been Replaced," off upcoming 2017 record In Between. After a quick wall of noise, the band hits you with a killer rhythm. Glenn Mercer, the band's principal songwriter, is still able to write simple riffs and lyrics with undeniable hooks, all under a nice texture of lo-fi.
