Ten East make psych-rock for those in need of a desert-wandering spirit journey soundtrack. They're about to drop new record, Skyline Pressure, on Small Stone, and it's a nice entry into their body of weirdness. If you want a primer of how the band works, look no further than this newly released title track. You'll find that the song is ideal for taking a long road trip and zoning out on the sights. Smooth guitars lull you into a state of relaxation while melodies reach out to varying distances and textures. The psychedelia casts a spell reminiscent of math rock, the soft spots in the riffs eventually coming back into focus for a harder ending. It's a pretty stunning track, nearly six minutes that disappear quicker than you realize.

Pre-order Skyline Pressure before it's out October 14.
