There's a lot to take in on Strand of Oaks' newest LP, Hard Love. In the first couple songs that were released, the band presented fuzzy and wistful rock music. There's a twinge of sadness that runs through songs like "Radio Kids," but all in all, SOA offered fun, catchy rock tunes. Today they've released the video for "Cry," one of the most emotional and intense tracks on the album. Guitars are swapped out for a solemn piano that rings out every couple beats. As the song continues, the tinkling is warped into stranger sounds and feelings — namely a curious echo before sampled vocals make their way in and everything gets incredibly loud.
