Canadian punks Slam Dunk have been keeping busy since their last album, 2012's Welcome to Miami. Following a 2014 performance at the Squamish Valley Music Festival (where they shared a stage with Arcade Fire), the band embarked on an extensive tour around the globe, the footage of which was later culled into the 2015 mockumentary Playing With Fire. They've also formed a strong friendship with their heroes Built to Spill, touring alongside the seminal band multiple times, Slam Dunk's lead singer, Jordan Minkoff, directed the first two music videos off the band's 2015 effort Untethered Moon (for "Living Zoo" and "Never Be the Same," and if you look closely, you can spot the crew's other members: guitarist / pianist Duncan McConnell, bassist Caitlin Gallupe and drummer Luke Post. How's that for a break in between albums?

At long last, the foursome is gearing up to release a new album. In the interim, they've shared their first new song in five years, "Fucking Around," which premieres today in the form of an on-the-road clip directed by — you guessed it — Minkoff. The single is being released today as part of the One Single at a Time series and it’s available on all digital platforms and via File Under: Music.
