You ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ of Sheer Mag’s Latest Single

From the punk loft to Late Night With Seth Meyers and Coachella, its dumbfounding to think about how far Sheer Mag have come in such a relatively short period of time. It was only in late 2014 that the band dropped their debut 7", a four-track burner that caught fire in punk circles and eventually crept into the hearts of indie fans as well. The second 7" seemed to build upon the first's momentum, exhibiting an improvement in songwriting until they hit the third EP, at which point the band was well on their way towards being DIY indie favorites. Sheer Mag's mix of punk aesthetic and work ethic — coupled with their super hot mix of glam, hard rock and punk — had created its own world of fans that seemed to multiply by the day.

Now, after three highly-revered 7" EPs, Sheer Mag have returned with a new LP called Need to Feel Your Love, due on July 10 (still self-released, in case you thought they fell off). The lead single — and apparently the rallying cry for fans of the band — is "Just Can't Get Enough," which is exactly what you've come to expect from Sheer Mag: feel-good vibes propelled by dueling leads and groove-heavy basslines, all spearheaded by Tina Halladay's soulful, yet angst-ridden vocals.

Quoth the band regarding the track:

 'Just Can't Get Enough' is a straight up and down rock ballad about ACTUALLY being in love, which is something we don't often write about without being cynical in some way. Being away from the one you love is hard. This song speaks as if that feeling for that person is something as natural and powerful as a gravitational pull.
