Meat Wave play dirty. In about three years, they've been responsible for some grimy, pummeling tunes that have been getting consistently weirder on each new release. Not wanting to slow things down after last year's Delusion Moon, the band recently released a new single, "The Incessant." It sets a new precedent for their songwriting, helped partly by the influence of legendary producer / noise junkie Steve Albini. The video is washed in pinks and reds, a shaky mess of cities and forestscapes. Dynamics roll between loud, punkish strikes and brief moments of introspection. Although no album has been announced, hopefully "The Incessant" is a harbinger of rad shit to come.
