It's hard for bands to remain fresh from album to album, let alone an 18-year career. But Portland, Ore.-based Grails have been constantly reinventing themselves, becoming a shining example of experimental music's potential. The band is set to release their seventh studio album, Chalice Hymnal, and have just dropped a new single, "Pelham." The song takes the band's penchant for sweeping soundscapes and infuses it with the synthier end of electronic music. The combination of elements creates a journey that flows into waters of psychedelia and prog-rock, a heavy sound that the band has been tinkering with for some time.
