It's been a busy couple of months for Toronto punk outfit Casper Skulls. Last fall, they signed to Buzz Records (better known as one of the most reputable labels in The 6) and dropped a fresh EP, Lips & Skull, accompanied shortly thereafter by a lengthy North American tour. The quartet's debut album isn't out until the fall, but don't fret–They've dropped a new single, "Nighthawks," to help pass the time by way of their usual jagged-edged ruckus. Give it a spin below.

"'Nighthawks' was one of the first songs we worked on as a band," guitarist Neil Bednis tells CLRVYNT. "We recorded it a year and a half ago at the same time we recorded the song 'Mink Coats' with Taylor Barrow. It's about a period I went through feeling stuck in a pattern of 'nightlife' monotony. At the time, I felt so unfulfilled and I wanted things to change for myself, but what I've come to realize is that no matter where I run, that feeling of boredom doesn't go away unless I keep moving forward and keep growing."

Casper Skulls released their Lips & Skull EP last year via Buzz Records. Their debut album is due out this autumn.
