Blush Aren’t Embarrassed About Making Shoegaze Heavy Again

Stroudsburg, Pa.-based Blush like to keep their shoegaze rough. The band is set to release their debut single, Drone / Yesterday, and today you can hear the first track, "Drone." Upon the first couple of strums, you're pulled right into a gravitational field of heavy, slow and loud. Melody drifts throughout, vocals coming in smoothly as a specter. It's reminiscent of Hum's heavier side, as well as contemporaries like Nothing or Cloakroom, but their choices in melody and back-end guitar work keep it uniquely Blush.
