Austra Unveil New Clip for ‘I Love You More Than You Love Yourself’

Gauzily emotional synth-pop outfit Austra reached new heights of empathetic dreaminess on their third album, Future Politics, out last week on Domino. Today, they've released a new video for the Broadcast-esque third single, "I Love You More Than You Love Yourself," a driving but melancholy look at depression inspired by the story of astronaut Lisa Nowak, who was charged with kidnapping and attempted murder.

The video itself features a woman in astronaut gear shopping for specific tools and searching the city; it ends rather ominously, in sharp contrast to the soothing textures and demeanor of the tune. Any other year, it would've been chilling; now it's just fitting, as sadness becomes the national métier. Check it out below.
